Holiday

We have been away to Isla Canela in the Spanish Algarve. We had a lovely time with our friends Lloyd and Lian and their 8 month old baby Miles. This was our first trip with Isabella and Liberty on a plane and they were not too bad. I think Miles got a bit of a shock when our 2 feisty girls kept nicking all his toys, hopefully they haven't scarred him for life!!

The girls loved splashing around in the baby pool, especially walking around the pool in Miles's orange zogg ring! Isabella even found herself a Spanish boyfriend and we caught them walking around the pool together in their rings!

Liberty loved to screech in the water and kept all the sunbathers entertained (or ruined their chance of peace and quiet in the sun!!)

Still no walkers, both girls still love to walk around holding onto our fingers or cruise around the furniture. Liberty also loves to push anything around and tries her hardest to push her own pushchair around.

The girls are really copying each other now and mimic each others noises and actions, its very funny to watch.

Mummy's weekend away

I have just returned from my first weekend away without the girls. A nice relaxing weekend away at a Spa was probably what I should have been doing but instead I had a fabulous weekend in Ibiza with Helen and the other 9 hens celebrating Helens forthcoming wedding. It was lovely to have a weekend off but I did miss Dan and the girls too! Dan did a great job of looking after the girls for the weekend. Thank u. xx
Now its time to re-pack for our family holiday to the Spanish Algarve.

Words and firsts

As well as lots of baby gurgles and chatter (and shouts!) we are starting to get some words. After the usual mama and dadda Isabella's first word was hello. She absolutely loves dogs so another word for her is woof well its more like oof. Isabella pays a lot of attention when you ask where things are and points at things.

I think Liberty thinks everyone is called Daddy as she uses the word a lot! I don't think she can quite distinguish the difference in sounds between, Daddy, teddy and doggy. Liberty likes to drop things on the floor usually from her high chair and exclaim 'uh oh!'. She likes to go ahhhhh alot especially when she sees a dog, teddy or baby.

Liberty has had her first haircut today and has lost her curls :0( I know they will grow back.

Twins comments

Twins facinate people, I do laugh when on a Tuesday all the Mums leave twins group and you see the people in Bromley stop and stare in shock, horror or in delight at all the pushchairs of twins.

I also laugh at the blog of a friend of a friend when she writes about the comments she gets about her two.

We get lots fo comments, the most common are 'did you know you were expecting twins?' 'Do twins run in the family?'. 'Are they twins?'

We quite often get 'One of each?' (both girls dressed in pink!) 'Are they identical?' (they look quite different!).
